You can tell a lot about a person by the way they handle these three things:
a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights.

Tina and Andy get married!

Last night we went to Seaside Inn in Mystic to see Tina and Andy get married. The ceremony was beautiful. The reception was a blast! Every thing was perfect. Here are a few pictures. Can't blog long because I have to get to my brother's 40th birthday party.

Andy when he first saw Tina. That's always one of my favorite parts, the grooms reaction.

Julia's on Email!

Today we set Julia up with her own email account. She has been using my email to send notes to various people so I thought it was time she have her own. I don't want to post it on the www so if you would like to message my girl, email me or leave me a comment and I will give you her address. She is excited and squeals every time she gets a message. So far she's talked to Daddy, Mema, and Mrs. Nelson. I can't believe what a quick learner she is on the computer. She navigates through websites to play her games, even knows how to check the weather, now emailing. So smart my girl. Talk to y'all soon!

More 1st day of school pictures!

Just a few more pictures from Julia's first day! I stole these from my cousin Kasey's blog. My kid is so freakin cute I couldn't resist!

Wow 3 posts in 24 hours. What's up with that? A change has come!

Disney videos

I found some video from our trip to disney. I know I said I'd post these but I forgot all about it. I am so happy to have been able to capture this. Julia is so star struck. Especially with Cinderella. I think watching Julia that week react to all her fantasies coming true brought back the child in all of us. It's definitely the most magical place on earth.

Julia meeting Aurora

This one is a little dark but it's Julia dancing to the song "Under the Sea" from The Little Mermaid. We are in Downtown Disney.

And last we have Rob and Julia at LEGO in Downtown Disney. They made a car and are testing it out.

Thanks for visiting my blog. I hope you enjoyed the videos as much as I do.

1st grade

So at Whitney's request we are blogging about 1st grade. I remember it all to well. There I was with my blonde hair wearing my brown and yellow uniform. Ready to tackle St. Dominics School and all it had to offer. I looked so cute....what? She meant Julia's 1st week of 1 st grade? You don't want to hear about me? Fine then!

So yes it was Julia's first week of 1st grade and she has had a blast thus far. She was eager to get to school to see her friends, to meet her teacher, and riding the school bus with her cousins. She couldn't get out the door fast enough the first morning and her words getting off the bus..."that was the BEST day ever!" Words every mother loves to hear when it comes to their child and school. And yes I am not completely blind to the fact that the enthusiasm will end at some point. So I will savor every bit. Getting into the routine of homework has been a bit tough though. We'll get there.

Here are some pics from that morning.

Yesterday I went to pick up Julia's soccer jersey. Her dad is very proud that she is following in his footsteps. She starts playing soccer for Westside Market (same team her dad plays softball for BTW) next week so you know there will be pictures of that.

Big plans this weekend. I have tomorrow off. Saturday we are going to see Tina walk down the isle. Thanks to Chris and Faith for watching Julia on such short notice! Sunday we have a HUGE party for my brother's 40th birthday. The theme of the party is Olympic complete with events such as boccie, three legged race, a shoe toss, etc. I, along with JJ, will be representing team Japan. Come one come all. The more the merrier. If you click on the link to the left named Rob you can register your team. And on Monday I will be hanging out with Bonnie because her family is in town. (pssstt that means Michael)

So that's our week in a nutshell. I'll be posting pictures from this weekend. Everyone be good, and be safe!
