Here are the pictures from Easter day (in no particular order). We all piled into my in laws house for an amazing dinner. But not until after the kids found all of their Easter Eggs.
You can tell a lot about a person by the way they handle these three things:
a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights.

Easter weekend part 1
The day before Easter there was an egg hunt at Apple (the home that Joe's grandmother and my grandmother live in). Julia was excited to wear her dress a day early for the festivities. Joe and I didn't go but Mema documented with lots of pictures.
Julia and Grand Mema ready to head outside.
Grand Mema and Julia waiting for the fun to begin.
The Easter Bunny giving the kids a pep talk
And she's off...
mmmm these look good
All done!
42 eggs in all!
Trying to find the cord to the camera so I can post the pictures I took the next day. I had to post something though because my sister said I was slacking since I've been back on Facebook. Add the fact that Lisa posted her pictures on her blog before I did! She blogs like 4 times a year!

Spring Break
Before I tell you about Julia's spring break I just want to say that lent is over tomorrow and I will then be back on Facebook. I did it. I honestly was a little hesitant to make the commitment. Not to set myself up for failure I always pick a safe choice for my Lenten sacrifice. Iced Tea, soda, etc. This, this was going to be a challenge and I did it. I do miss all my friends though. I can't wait to catch up on every one's lives.
So here was are at spring break. Julia and I took a few day trips and had a lot of fun. Of course I took pictures so I could share.
Our first stop...NYC. Julia loved looking up at Lady Liberty and thought it was hysterical that I was gonna name her Liberty (but called Libby) because I was in labor on 9/11. The view of the city was beautiful.
Down to Washington D.C. to see Obama. Julia stated she felt bad that Obama and his family will be homeless one day because she would like to reside at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. I'm starting the campaign now JULIA LAURITO FOR PRESIDENT 2041!! Hurry up....go register to vote if you haven't done so yet.
Next stop was Vegas where Julia learned how to count cards and we actually won a million dollars! But the Robert De Niro look a like of a security guy was on to us. So we left Vegas quietly and promised to never return with all of our fingers and toes accounted for. Julia is disappointed that we can't ever go back because now she will have to find a new place to wed my future son in law Joe Jonas.
Aaaahhhh the Grand Canyon. Breathtaking views. We tried riding down to the bottom on donkeys buy Julia's ride got sick. Apparently donkeys and m&ms don't mix well.
Julia wasn't to interested in the Golden Gate Bridge. The builders could have made it a bit fancier she said. Maybe paint it pink and add some jewels.
Next we sat outside the Taj Mahal for an afternoon hoping to see Jasmin and Aladdin. Julia was absolutely positive that this was the palace in the movie. No such luck. I reminded her that we had already met them in Disney over the summer but she insisted. She said that she and Jasmin were friends and would be so disappointed if she didn't stop by.
I think the Colosseum was one of Julia's favorites. She took the stage and belted out a few Hannah Montana songs using my hair brush as a microphone.
My genius of a daughter solved the problem of the Leaning Tower of Pisa. If it was built with LEGOs it would not lean.
Off to Paris we went to see the Eiffel Tower.
