You can tell a lot about a person by the way they handle these three things:
a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights.

Kara's shower

Reillyn's baby shower was last weekend. Here are some pictures.

Nancy (our mom's cousin)
So we needed a way to tape the garbage bag up while Kara was opening her gifts. I looked over and this is what my mother in law came up with. Yes those are bandages. New of course.
Kara cutting the cake. I sang "the baby mama cuts the cake, the baby mama cuts the cake..."
Lesley, Mandy, Theresa, Tammy, Christine, Kim, Amy, and Caroline (Kara and Rob's friends)
Sr. Ancie, Sr. Anne, Carlene, Sr. Ann, one of Bea's friends and Kate (our aunts)
Kara's friends from work
Sharon (friend) my mom, Gina, and Ginny
Sandra and Moms Laurito (my sister and mother in law)
Eileen, Carol, Nancy, Eileen (cousins)

Joyce, Carol, (cousins)
The girls having fun with their goody bags (Julia, Kimberly, and Tiffany)
Relaxing at Kara and Rob's after the shower. We helped them set up the crib and the baby's room. Julia and Kara are both watching a video. One on the iPod, the other on the laptop.
It was a fun day. Not to drawn out like most showers can be. I am taking pride in the fact that 55 people were in and out in 2 1/2 hours. Thanks to all that helped and contributed.
On another note I got some exciting news this week. As many of you know I have been studying my but off for the Pharmacy Tech National Exam. Well I just found out that I passed.
So with no studying, the decorations up for Christmas, no parties to plan, I can just sit back and enjoy the holiday season.

The value of a dollar

Apparently I need to teach this to my daughter. She was bragging to me about her piggy bank. "I have 18 pennies, 35 nickels, 9 dimes, and 22 quarters." I thought it was cute. Taking an interest in her father's profession.

Some time later...Joe goes to throw away a wrapper and what does he see? A dollar bill on the top of the garbage. "Julia? Did you throw this away?
"Yes Daddy (slightly annoyed), I don't want it. I don't like the paper money."
