You can tell a lot about a person by the way they handle these three things:
a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights.

Welcome the newest Catholic!!

On Saturday Reillyn was baptized! Joe and I are so proud to be Reillyn's Godparents. The day was perfect and my Godson was so good. Didn't even cry when the Holy water was poured on his head. Kara and Rob also had a special treat for all. They had their marriage blessed with all their family there to witness. I didn't get any pictures of the ceremony because I was standing up with Kara and Rob. I'm sure my cousin Kasey (you can just click on the link to the left) will be posting some with in the next few days.

Here is the baby boy in his get up. He looks like a mini priest doesn't he? So cute!

Molly, Julia, and Abby playing nicely together.

Molly, Julia, and Abby wanted to do a silly picture. I can't figure out what's in Molly's mouth.

It was a good week

I went to the doctor on Monday and I am in remission!!! My antibody levels came back normal and my liver is toxin free! I have to keep up the injections until June then we will revisit with some blood work. But until then...WOOO HOOO! I've been doing more and sleeping less building up my stamina again. It's been a good week. Joe and I are even going on a date this weekend!

This weekend I become a godmother again! Reillyn is getting baptized on Saturday. I am so excited to be his godmother. He is such a joy. I played peek-a-boo with him yesterday and he was smiling and cooing. I loved hearing what his little voice might sound like. I love that he already knows me and knows my voice.

On Sunday Joe and I are going out to J.Gilberts for dinner. My favorite place to eat. We will be celebrating 8 years of marriage next Tuesday so in true Italian form the celebration will revolve around food.

Julia is doing well in school and won an award for the best snowman. She was so excited to tell everyone. She made a snowman out of cotton balls and cut one of her old shirts to make a scarf and a hat. Of course no snowman is complete with out sunglasses.

Joe stayed home from poker tonight so we could spend some quality time together so I am off to do just that. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Black History Month

Today Julia's school did a little presentation for black history month. It was so cute! Julia was very excited to see Mema and I because I had told her that I wouldn't be able to make it because of work. Of course I had to take some video which you will see below. You can tell she was less than enthusiastic about being there. But cute just the same.

I just want to say that I am so happy with the things they are teaching Julia in school. Mrs. Nelson is an amazing teacher and I am dreading June when we have to say good bye. When Julia first learned about Martin Luther King Jr. she got really excited. I explained to her that because of the wonderful things he did and inspired in other people great things happened to our family. I then explained that her cousin Peter probably wouldn't have had the option of going to live with Auntie Kasey and therefor becoming part of our family. Julia then decided she wanted to thank him and could we call him on my cell phone. I then had to tell her he died. So of course she asked how and not even thinking I said "he got shot". The bottom lip came out and quivers "Mama...I am never going to the doctor again to get shots." Once I dealt with that and it was resolved she decided that she wanted to bring a letter to Father Stu at our church. A thank you note that he was to deliver to God and God was to give it to Martin Luther King Jr. I love seeing how simple kids can break things down to be.

Answer me this...

Julia asked me if God created everything in 7 days which week was it in which month?

Disney!

So as you can see from the ticker above we are going to Disney! I can not wait. Only 4 months to go. We are leaving the moment Julia gets out of school for summer vacation. And since she gets out weeks before the rest of the country, it won't be that busy! We are all due for a vacation. It's going to be a blast. The 3 of us are going, along with Kara, Rob, Reillyn, and my mom. Then we talked my mother and father in law into joining us too! I'm not sure who is going to have a better time me or Julia. And I've already been told that with so many adults going I can expect alone time with my hubby!
