You can tell a lot about a person by the way they handle these three things:
a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights.

School Pictures

School pictures are tomorrow. Look at my daughter! I know the picture is blurry (camera broke had to take it with the cell phone) but you can see the big red mark under her nose. She was fine when she left for school today and she came home with a cold. She is miserable and we'll have the pictures to commemorate. Am I a bad mother to be thinking a four year old is old enough for some makeup?

Independence

Today when we got to school Julia asked if I could just drop her off and not walk her to her class...

Not sure what else to say about that except it makes me very sad.

Proud Mama

Today we had parent/teacher conferences. I love love love Julia's teachers. The changes in Julia since she started school last August have been awesome! One thing I was worried about was her socialization being an only child. It seemed whenever she would be around her cousins she would end up alone in the corner reading a book. Last week I sat in Julia's class for a bit and it was so nice to see her socializing and playing "house" with her friends. Her teacher said that she enjoys helping her classmates with projects and activities. She is developing as she should and adjusting to the glasses well. The only thing we need to work on is holding a pencil correctly. I can't complain. This is one proud mama!

Happy Easter

I just wanted to share some pictures. We went to Joe's parents house and celebrated with Joe's parents, his sister and her husband, his grandmother, his aunt and uncle, my sister and her husband, and my parents. This first picture is Julia still in her jammies making candy necklace that she got in her Easter basket. My sister and Julia share an interest in Hanna Montana. My sister got Julia a Hanna Montana wig and a microphone for Easter. This is my sister's husband, Julia calls him Uncle Wob, trying the wig on.Julia in her Easter best

Next we had an Easter egg hunt that my mother and mother in law set up. They really out did themselves.
Julia blowing bubbles. One of her favorite things.

And last Julia reading an Amelia Bedelia book from Auntie Sandra and Uncle Drew.

Glasses

Julia got her glasses! Here is a picture. She has been good, so far, about keeping them on or putting them on the table whan she takes them off. We went to Barnes and Noble to celebrate and we let her pick out a few books.

I know I am her mother but isn't she flippin adorable????
