You can tell a lot about a person by the way they handle these three things:
a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights.

Birthday celebrations

So a month ago my little friend Ella came in to my work and we got to talking. We discovered our birthdays are 1 day apart, hers being today and mine being tomorrow. So we made a date to go out for ice cream to celebrate our big days. I picked Ella up then we surprised Julia at school with our afternoon plans.
Our first stop was Dairy Queen for ice cream. As you can see they are enjoying it.
Our next stop was the park. Julia was delighted to have someone to play with.
Julia is proud that this year she can climb to the top of pretty much everything at the park. She just climbs and hangs out and relaxes. Just wait until she discovers tree limbs.

Ella joining Julia for the view.
Getting dirty in the sand.
They kept making themselves dinner and they were playing house. Then I decided that since it was about 6, they might be hungry for real. Just as we were about to leave look below to see what happened...

Um yeah...that's the ice cream truck blocking me in. So I had to distract the girls for 10 minutes until the tuck left. Overall the three of us had a great day and a lot of silliness and laughs. Hope you had a great birthday today Ella! See you Thursday.
