You can tell a lot about a person by the way they handle these three things:
a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights.

Answer me this...

Julia asked me if God created everything in 7 days which week was it in which month?

Disney!

So as you can see from the ticker above we are going to Disney! I can not wait. Only 4 months to go. We are leaving the moment Julia gets out of school for summer vacation. And since she gets out weeks before the rest of the country, it won't be that busy! We are all due for a vacation. It's going to be a blast. The 3 of us are going, along with Kara, Rob, Reillyn, and my mom. Then we talked my mother and father in law into joining us too! I'm not sure who is going to have a better time me or Julia. And I've already been told that with so many adults going I can expect alone time with my hubby!

Wow it's been a long time huh?

And I know why. Things have been busy busy busy. (I also told Mrs. Nelson I would blog again if she took a picture of Julia and Reillyn the other day)

As you all may know my sister had the baby! Reillyn Billy was born on Dec 29 and I had the pleasure of witnessing this miraculous event. He is the sweetest baby boy I have ever seen and I am with him every moment that I can. Every time I show up at Kara and Rob's I am still waiting for them to kick me out because I am there so much. Julia is amazing with him and I am so proud of how loving and compassionate she is with him. She holds him perfectly and talks to him telling him all the fun things life has to offer. Reillyn even went in to school so Julia could show him off for show and tell.

Kara and Rob take my breath away. Kara is such loving mother and so attentive to his needs. When he is upset I see him soften when she speaks and holds him close. Rob the definition of a proud papa always saying "that's my boy''. Yesterday I was helping Kara and Rob at a bridal show and when I went downstairs to Rob and Joe's table I see a picture of Reillyn up on the huge t.v., not the wedding video they were trying to sell.

So today my sister went back to work and now my 10 phone calls a day to her are replaced with blogging again. Although I have talked to my mother (who is babysitting Reillyn) 3 times already.

February is a special month for Joe and I as we celebrate our anniversary. On the 18th we will be together for 10 years, and on the 24th married for 8. Yesterday at the bridal show we ran into our wedding DJ. He made an announcement that he did our wedding almost 8 years ago and played our wedding song. Joe and I danced, in the middle of the bridal show, and I'm not sure if people were watching but I didn't notice that they were there.

I'm working on posting pictures but they are on my cell phone and it broke over the weekend so give me a few days.

See you all soon!

So we needed a way to tape the garbage bag up while Kara was opening her gifts. I looked over and this is what my mother in law came up with. Yes those are bandages. New of course.
Kara cutting the cake. I sang "the baby mama cuts the cake, the baby mama cuts the cake..."

Eileen, Carol, Nancy, Eileen (cousins)

The girls having fun with their goody bags (Julia, Kimberly, and Tiffany)
Relaxing at Kara and Rob's after the shower. We helped them set up the crib and the baby's room. Julia and Kara are both watching a video. One on the iPod, the other on the laptop.
It was a fun day. Not to drawn out like most showers can be. I am taking pride in the fact that 55 people were in and out in 2 1/2 hours. Thanks to all that helped and contributed.
On another note I got some exciting news this week. As many of you know I have been studying my but off for the Pharmacy Tech National Exam. Well I just found out that I passed.
So with no studying, the decorations up for Christmas, no parties to plan, I can just sit back and enjoy the holiday season.

The value of a dollar

Apparently I need to teach this to my daughter. She was bragging to me about her piggy bank. "I have 18 pennies, 35 nickels, 9 dimes, and 22 quarters." I thought it was cute. Taking an interest in her father's profession.

Some time later...Joe goes to throw away a wrapper and what does he see? A dollar bill on the top of the garbage. "Julia? Did you throw this away?
"Yes Daddy (slightly annoyed), I don't want it. I don't like the paper money."
